Samsung to offer 32 and 37-inch 3D TVs in 2011
Samsung has announced recently that it will distribute smaller 3D TVs to the market in 2011, The smallest 3D TVs available in the UK are 40 inch (Although, with Nvidia 3d Vision, where depending on your graphics card and screen 22 inches , you can play games in 3D at only 120hz.), but because of the implementation of 200Hz panels it is now possible to reduce screen sizes to 32- and 37-inch.
Samsung recently held a demonstration of its C7000 plasma range and 9000 LED series, during the demo it was reported that Samsung would be releasing smaller 3D TVs in 2011. While Samsung are delighted to offer smaller (cheaper) 3D televisions it argues that when it comes to 3D TV bigger is absolutely better.
How far away should I sit from a 3D TV to get the best effect
For optimum Viewing of 3D TV’s it is recommended that when viewing 3D broadcasts or movies that you sit twice the length of the diameter of the 3DTV you are watching. So with a 50 inch tv you should sit approx 4 metres away!
